no it isn't. there's no need to go over infractions for everything with everyone. unless there is, then there cannot be "rulings" by everyone on more serious things because they do not know the whole history. and it's only certain people who would care to do anything. if the mods decide what is and is not an infraction anyway, what's the bloody point? in order to not deal with f**k bullshit of some rube complaining that they didn't do something "fair" they won't moderate at all. this is a trojan horse, canadian. and when i say that you're supposed to say "sorry, so sorry".

Mob rule really doesn't do much in the way of building diversity in a forum. However, that said if a moderator has bias it could really ruin it, too. How about a representative democracy, where the admins or moderators serve set terms, then they run for re-election. They would probably need to be appointed for the first term but then they could mount campaigns and we'd see some real ideas with some oversight from the governed.
