Because I'm already paying for the service???
If I pay for, say 20mbs down for a bajillion dollars a month or whatever they charge, how does it make sense for an ISP to charge me, and then throttle the speed and quality of the service unless another company pays them to deliver the content at the speed I'm already paying for? I already paid for it!

But I already paid for the speed for which I receive content.
And yeah I'm perfectly content with the government opening up competition. Sometimes regulation is necessary for a free market to operate well.
I don't think the cancel your service argument is valid either. Don't like taxes? Get off the roads! And we all know how stupid that argument is.
