Today, people in the office were talking about what they want to be for Halloween. Most of the time I don't dress up, so I told them that I don't want to be anything. But they kept insisting and telling me that it's company spirit. The women in the office put a lot of pressure on the CFO and the Controller to participate and they finally gave in, but now they're pressuring me to do it too. So I said, fine I'll be a cat for Halloween. In my mind, it should be pretty simple, I put on some cat ears and paint a black triangle on my nose. Very simple, very straight forward, and very straight. But for the rest of the day, they proceeded to make homosexual jokes about my choice of costume. Which leads me to the question. How is being a cat, gay?
I have never ever seen any gay cats. Guys like LOLcats. They're perfectly funny and straight. I'm going through the list of cats I know: Garfield, Top Cat, Cat in the Hat, Scratchy, Snowball I, Snowball II, Tom (from Tom & Jerry), Sylvester, Puss In Boot, Heathcliff, Eeek the Cat, Hello Kitty (It's a girl cat, so can't be gay), The Cheshire Cat, Felix the Cat, Mittens (from Bolt), none of them have any hint of homosexuality. If anything women shouldn't wear cat costumes because you can have a play on word for "kitty," as in "do you like being around lots of kitty?"
So what do you think about a guy being a cat for Halloween? Kinda gay? Perfectly normal? Would you dress up as a cat for Halloween?
