So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is with those who fear Him. (2:191-194)

Well, there's also the whole abortion clinic bombings and gay bashing that happens. Look at where Christians primarily live.

But I think largely it's because the rest of society doesn't tolerate that kind of violence. If the U.S. were a theocracy like some of the Islamic countries, I bet the same kind of violence would be going on.
