weird how there wasn't a TEA party when reagan raises taxes three times. but i digress. the strongest era of economic growth in this country, the post-war era, had a strict progressive income tax. we did pretty okay with it. europe does pretty okay with it. ignoring empirical evidence in favor of ideological purity is not a policy solution.
and i didn't say stop intervention, i said cut the military. eliminate the marines, cut the infantry, continue to fund the airforce and the navy. we are the worlds police. it's the role we're chosen for ourselves and in a vacuum someone else would take our spot. i prefer us to keep doing it instead of china or russia.
