Yes they are part of the navy and should be done away with.

I know quite a bit about marines, sailors, soldiers, and airmen. I'm not saying they aren't tough. I'm saying that they don't need to exist as an organization because they are redundant. They don't go in first. US Army special forces/seals go in first, followed by US army airborne operations. Most of the time the Marines get sent in because they happen to be on a boat somewhere close by, it's a matter of convenience.
