cops escalate situations constantly with their heavy handed approach to things. this includes using equipment they don't need.

I was invited to go in Feb. I think their idea is that they are going to "educate me" and change my mind about how I view police.

I honestly doubt it. I've been on 2 other ride-alongs and neither was interesting. One involved 4 hours of radar gun and giving out speeding tickets.
