hehehe
Actually, everyone that I met there was pretty nice. The southern part of the state, especially. I really liked Cape May and Egg Harbor. It was once you started getting up into Edison, Union and Newark that things got yuk.
I must say, though - we spent 6 weeks in Trenton. Working out of the Trenton Marriott. I cannot imagine a bigger cesspool of a state capitol (heck, "city") than Trenton. The Marriott is less than 2 blocks from the capitol building, and 2 blocks (the other way) from the state offices we worked with. Yet, despite that, if you looked out of our window onto Peace Street around 11pm every night, you could watch a mother send her kid out to the curb to collect money from cars, come inside, grab some drugs, then deliver it to the car. Happened so often we got tired of watching it.
Trenton is so bad that they chose to not even build the governor's mansion in the city - it's up the road in Princeton! Which, btw, is a GREAT little town.
