Obama said some things. Some people clapped, others didn't, sometimes they clapped together. The camera would zoom in on arbitrary people. That about sums it up.
We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will yet swell the chorus when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.

This is the busted duck part of office. Neither side will get anything done just to spite each other. That is how things are done/not done. 
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
