Actually have been reading quite a lot lately
Post Office - Bukowski - 9/10 - very quick read and very entertaining
Factotum - Bukowski - 6/10 - a little repetitive after the first Bukowski, still entertaining tho
Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail - Thompson - 8/10 - I would have enjoyed this more if I had lived in 1972, Thompson still remains genius in his understanding of America and American culture. I don't think anyone has ever understood the U.S. as well as him
Hells Angels - Thompson - 9/10 - this was entertaining but I wish it was written in a more vivid narrative style as opposed to a more detached reporters narrative
Up next:
On the Road - Kerouac
Rum Diaries - Thompson
I'd like to read a good War in Afghanistan or War in Iraq novel if anyone has any recommendations.
