Just wanted to pass this along:

This book is literally a page turner, Ive been reading up for long time into the wee hours of the morning because I cant put it down. Its been awhile since Ive been reading non-stop simply because many books Ive read the past year havent been all that interesting to me so therefore it was a slog to get through them- but this one is keeping me very very interested.

What is it about? Well, think of World War Z or the Walking dead but instead of zombies... its vampires. It starts out slow (but still interesting) and the suspense slowly builds towards an apocalyptic finale. Highly recommended!


Now Im reading the sequel and its pretty good so far too. The title of The Twelve refers to the original 12 vampires that must be killed in order to prevent humanity's extinction. The first part of the book is a sort of flashback to the beginning of the vampire apocalypse as a few individual men, women and children try to survive before pushing the storyline back to the near future in a world dominated by vampires. Really good stuff.

Was in Cyprus last year, pretty interesting place. This was written in the 50s though so before the war. Back in the day the Turks and Greeks mixed, the country he is describing is gone now.

I ordered Suttree and The Sunset Limited, by Cormac McCarthy. I'm sure they'll be good reads, I've never came across a bad book by him.
