Anyone else here see Birdman? I saw it in theaters the other day and walked out feeling it would be one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm still thinking about it weeks later. Crazy good script, and its one of the best movies I've ever seen at showcasing the talents of the actors involved. Edward Norton has some gifts. The whole thing was a stylistic breath of fresh air, too. Felt different than anything I'd ever seen before. Would definitely recommend.

Caught St. Vincent over the holidays. Murray was excellent, but the movie got a bit predictable towards the end. 7/10

Saw the premier of Citizenfour on HBO last night and it was pretty kickass. I had already read greenwalds book, so it was interesting to see the setting in sort of real time. I was a little perplexed by the ending in Moscow and I'm wondering when these other revelations are coming out. This film was originally released last October so it's been a few months.

I finally got around to Under the Skin. It was....intriguing. I was very impressed with the style of the film but the substance left me wanting. I get that it's an atypical story arch (as far as it can be called such) but at times it felt like there was no there there.

Truly impressive technically though.
