ahh the southern dad approach
it's been two days and people are already complaining about their mods being stolen and sold, and steams policy is "lol figure it out yourself". that's going to lead to a lawsuit. especially over mods like skyrim script extender, which is used in literally tens of thousands of mods. mods like that that are made for free, and are now being used by others to make money, is going to cause problems.

In re: legal problems, unless the people who made mods put them out under a GNU-GPL or equivalent license, they have ZERO legal grounds for a copyright claim.
If they do have a license, they will be able to DMCA a mod off of Steam.

still wouldn't pay for a mod. as much as i might appreciate the work, a mod team amounts to a group of hobbyists, and there is no guarantee the mod will ever be finished, etc. hell, really good mod teams that get picked up and funded by companies fail half the time to deliver.

Frankly, I still cant believe it happened in the first place.
Does playing mods make me a part of it? First mods I remember were clear back on Quake 2. CTF, Rocket Arena, Weapons of Destruction...all better than the core DM.
