I'm not done here dammit.
The first Whiskey Cocktail I'd like to discuss is the Gold Rush
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Honey Syrup*
3/4 oz Fresh lemon Juice
Shake ingredients with ice and strain over ice in a rocks glass
Very nice and refreshing. The lemon really comes through so this is one for the citrus lovers.
*To make honey syrup, just add about half an ounce boiling water to a standard size bottle of honey and shake well. It will make the honey much less thick. If you skip this step, the honey will just stick to the ice when you're shaking the drink.

Not a big Sangria drinker here. My guess is it does degrade but the red wine dominates and you don't really notice.
