Chukkas are ok, but I don't really see them as an every day shoe.

But if you aren't willing to spend more than $70 on a pair of good, quality shoes than I can't really help you. All the idiots go and buy $20 Nikes, they are shitty in 3 months, then they go and buy another pair and another until their poor from buying shitty stuff instead of buying a good pair one time and being happy with it.

Shoes are an investment.

If you stop being dumb get a pair of Iron Rangers from Red Wings shoes. They'll set you back about $300, but you can wear them everyday for years.

It's been a while since I've gone but I use to go hit Nordstrom Rack looking for shoes. You've got to dig through a lot of crap, but you'll occasionally find some really nice shoes pretty cheap. The last time I went I scored about $600 worth of shoes for around $150 (3 pairs). It's one of those places you have to check reguarly because their stock is constantly changing. Sometimes you'll walk out emtpy handed, but sometimes it's a gold mine.
