There's not any real historical evidence that Moses was even a real person. Just biblical. If they are trying to make that point it should say that the bible influenced, which I don't think is really necessary for a high school textbook either, but to say that Moses influenced them, in a history textbook, suggests that Exodus is some kind of historical event and the story of Moses is supported by historical fact.
