You guys are lost. Korea would be set back decades in any reunification scenario. Seoul would be damaged, and the south would have to absorb a country of millions that is one of the poorest on the planet. China wouldn't be weakened at all and any reunification scans too would almost certainly result in the withdrawal of American forces on the peninsula. You guys are insane if you think china is going to allow the north to collapse and a western allied Korea that hosts US troops to march to the Yalu. Not to mention Korea, shortly after unification, will have absolutely no appetite to pick a fight with China and risk them undermining the reunification.

The honest truth is China is the natural hedgemon in Asia and any efforts to limit that are doomed in the long run. Best case scenario is that we end up wasting hundreds of billions more on the defense of a bunch of shitty client states like the Philippines. No thanks. America will remain great by investing in itself and its citizens, not by trying to undermine and pick fights with China.
