Yes, I've seen it in sports media too, where it is equally absurd. Chip has always said publicly that he likes one cut north south runners. Then he inherits an Eagles team with LeSean McCoy on it and suddenly the media thinks his system requires shifty backfield juke runners.

the packers game... it should have been 38-0 win. penalties were killer in that game and the not-zero score for KC gave the impression that the chiefs were contending. they really weren't. the chiefs have something like 3 for 30 third down conversions this year. last night they managed to get the first TD to a wide receiver in 18 games but again, penalties were what kept them from having to go 3 and out each drive. and while the chiefs were penalized more, had the packers not been penalized they would have had a blowout and a shutout

Over 2 games they didn't execute the run game well. If you didn't understand the important of offensive lines in run production then you would be kicked out of the arrogant Cowboys fan association so I don't know where you're going unless you're just trying to bust balls. Do you actually think Demarco Murray wouldn't have hit the holes in the first two games if they had been there? Go back and watch his run attempts. He was often getting hit in the backfield while still securing the handoff. It doesn't matter what your run style is, you will lose yards when that happens. All RBs are dependent on blocking up front, even the ones who supposedly weren't. Even Barry Sanders with his legendarily bad offensive line which actually wasn't bad couldn't have gotten positive yards on a play when the defense is right there as he's taking the handoff over and over.

The conclusion you can make is that the offensive line played way better last week than they did the first two weeks. You don't even need to understand football to see how much more time the o-line gave Mathews than they did for Murray. A lot of that goes to Kelly changing it up, running more plays under center, etc. But they also just played better which is hopefully the two new guards finally getting some chemistry with their linemates.

Outlook for the rest of the Eagles season IMO: The NFC East is a dumpster fire. We wouldn't have a chance if Romo and Bryant weren't sidelined with major injury. We also have a pretty easy schedule in terms of travel and challenge up until a stretch from November to early December. 8-8 might win the division, but the offense is really going to have to come together in a big way and get hot late to do anything in the offseason if we get there.
