I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I use slacker.com.

You don't have to pay for it (but if you want to skip more than 5 times per hour you can pay $3 for a month of service for unlimited skips) and you can download entire stations to your phone. At least on Android. Not sure about iPhones.

You can find an artist and then add them to a custom station then keep adding artists to the custom station. Or you can play an artist and it'll play songs by them and artists in the same genre. I use it so I don't have to use data to stream nor lose my connection and then hear nothing. They have a pretty decent library.

They have a "Bob Dylan DNA" station which is songs by him, songs inspired by him, and artists inspired by him. Same for Johnny Cash.

btw to add artists to a custom station you click on the box with the 3 dots in it and then pick a station or create a new one. so:

1. search for artist
2. click on them/hit enter
3. click on [...]
4. pick to add to custom station or new station

I forget how many stations you can have total downloaded. Used to be something like 25. I think I have 8 at the moment.
