It's amazing to me that the cops haven't been charged yet, and probably won't be, given that the video is so clear.
1. The video clearly shows that the kid wasn't pointing the gun at anyone, in fact noone else seems to be nearby
2. The kid is shot instantly, so he had no time to comply with any instructions the cops may have given
3. Ohio has open carry laws. So even if the cops thought the gun was real, and that Tamir Rice was an adult, he would not be commiting any crime by walking around with the gun.
Oh, and if the cops really thought he was really a serious threat, why on earth would they pull up right next to him ? In that scenario they should have stopped at a safe distance, gotten behind the car for cover, and called for backup.
