They may both be mentally ill. The lone wolf with delusions of grandeur, conspiratorial thinking, hallucinations, etc. Whereas guys like ISIS members tend to be more straight sociopaths or psychopaths.

No one who knows anything explains terrorists as simply being "evil". Like not one expert on the matter in the world posits that.
I said there's a different profile for organized terrorists and lone wolfs. I didn't say they didn't both have mental problems. They typically both do. I said lone wolfs are usually more deranged, which I stand by, because organized terrorist attacks are much more planned and calculated, which isn't the work of a deranged person.
