ISIS has been very active in recruiting women lately, and part of that reason is so that they can radicalize lonely men. While there is no evidence this is the case here, it would fit. He met this woman online, travels all the way to Terror Kingdom to marry her, and then comes back and murders over a dozen people at a Christmas party. This does seem more plausible than them just happening to have two assault rifles and two handguns lying around the house, and him randomly saying "That's it, they didn't give me the promotion I wanted, so I'll murder them with my newlywed."
