to be fair, they switched spots with the republicans in the last few weeks in the polls, the the national front only gaining a few points. the socialists were out in the regional presidencies basically to begin with, even without the paris atrocities. but yes, the attacks did improve the national front's polling in several regions so that it was ahead of the republicans. i guess i'm just trying to say even though the paris attacks played a role, it wasn't like they weren't already polling highly
