Galt, if you think DS9 was full of action, you might need to re-watch. There was a full scale war going on and there were episodes about baseball games and love and pretty much everything else other than war. It was kind of ridiculous that they'd talk about how horrible the war was for everyone yet the viewer never gets to experience it really because they NEVER f**k SHOW ANYTHING GOING ON. Its just slightly referenced. "Oh, the USS Whatever got destroyed." But you don't see it, don't know the people on it, don't care. So its like ok well whatever... All of these starships being blown up and its hard to care at all because you never see the battles involving it.
DS9 was pretty much a snoozefest for the vast majority of the show. Lots of potential but extremely poor execution.
And Sisko...honestly the guy was horrible for the part. I can't stand that he couldn't ever talk "normal." It was like he had to talk full drama mode all the time with all these deep breaths and weird pauses in between words. Pretty much anyone would have been better for that part. Not to mention he was probably the worst captain in the universe with how lazy he was with morals and ethics. I mean he flat out lied and deceived the Romulans into thinking the Dominion was about to attack them even though the Dominion had no such plans (and had a non-aggression pact) all because he knew that Starfleet had no chance of winning the war - the war that he pretty much started. He was responsible for how many Romulan deaths? Sisko should have been in a prison or sentenced to death by the Romulans for his atrocities.
I don't even count Enterprise as Star Trek because it was an abomination.
