The Second Amendment was clearly written to insure that criminals be able to buy guns online without background checks. Liberals want to take that away (take, take, take!) because they hate liberty.

I think it's totally possible that's true, but do you have backup for it? Same question on your earlier point that imposing certain penalties on gun sellers if guns are used in crimes would not raise prices enough to be prohibitive. I asked for evidence on that but never saw anything.
