It doesn't overreach executive power though. The only people who think that also believe that a farm bill defines what retail means in this situation, even though that definition excludes a huge chunk of actual retailers and isn't referenced at all by the law in question. It's yet another delusion necessary for the modern gun advocate to resolve this cognitive dissonance.

Indeed. Unreported incidents are an unknown quantity. I was relying on logic to make the point that there are more accidental discharges than the ones that are reported. Alas, you refused to accept this.

Fortunately I am a much more reasonable man than you. I'll say it's possible that giving long prison sentences for people who are found to have transferred a weapon to somebody who later uses that weapon in a crime would not reduce access to guns because of the profitability of crime.
