Throughout his entire second term, Obama has tried to introduce some perspective to important issues. In this speech, he really hammers that home - about the economy, about climate change, about crime, about the military. An excellent speech. I'll miss you Bama.

He is a reasonable and measured man. Always liked that about him. Things are pretty good and he recognizes that and refuses to engage with the hysterics on the right wing. Hopefully the next president is as reasonable.

I wish I had a party. In this last election, I voted for just as many Ds and Rs.

Also, anyone here take note that LA (one of the redder states) just elected a Dem governor? Furthermore, he's a really good guy. Just about the most honest person I've ever worked with or known.

Eh, it was a pretty good speech but I've heard multiple SOTU speeches before. Some good, some bad, some funny camera pans.
