my link to wikipedia is about assortative mating. which exists in humans and other animals. and its not just race. men prefer pictures of women that have similar facial features as themselves, albeit modified to look like a sexy female version of themself. in fact spouses are more genetically similar than randoms. there are some disassociative things that keep us from one another, e.g., sometimes you kiss someone and they have bad breath? or you think they smell bad? these are from similar genes in one part of the chromosome that has to do with pathogens and it keeps you from mating with like-dna for that particular thing. but other things? you're biologically driven to like-like
