We've always let people kill themselves slowly for money in this fine nation, so it certainly should not be banned. BUT the NFL should take affirmative steps to make it significantly safer.
And people should consider whether they're morally comfortable watching what amounts to a watered down version of gladiators brutalizing and killing each other for the enjoyment of a crowd.

Erm, the guy had 10 concussions. I hardly think that is the general experience of the average football player.

so this year sam shields was out for like 4 games towards the end of the season: concussion protocol. they won't let them play until they pass concussion tests, so that doesn't aggravate it anymore.
