What happened to this forum?

I was a long-time poster here going back over a decade, then I remember some years ago the site went offline and then I guess this is the new (relative term) reincarnation. What was all the drama? I remember at the time PCF was probably the biggest political forum but it seems to have lost that stature. I still see a lot of old posters though, so hello!

After a few forum moves trying to keep it together, the forum lost critical mass and people got sick of each other.

the old one crashed from the admin David's inadequacies at maintaining it and refusal for help. It was rebooted once but soon crashed again. but during that time it was up some of us were able to find refuge at another site, which eventually turned into this
