Since I was on a couple of long flights recently, I got to catch up on a few movies.

Burnt: 5/10. Very contrived. Meh
Sicario: 7.5/10. Enjoyed it but premise and some of the casting was a bit odd. Worth seeing though
Spotlight: 8.5/10. Great movie that missed on a few marks, but overall probably one of the better films I've seen recently

Also went to the theater and saw Hail Caesar.....ffs that was a disappointment.

if you're a film nerd hail caesar was a lot of fun. many references to classics and hollywood history.

Yeah I agree with that. It was a lark. I don't mind though. I like it when the Coen brothers drop some of their self-importance and just have a little fun (e.g., Hail Caesar, Burn After Reading).

Saw The Infiltrator this weekend and I give it a 7/10. Good movie that could have been a great movie.

That said, Brian Cranston is kickass and deserved better directing. John Leguizamo is also really good in this flick.

I watched Room recently. One of the best I've seen in a long, long time. They let the story and the subject matter speak for itself. Highly recommend. But not if you have kids.
