yeah i love how the argument against universal healthcare (OH EXCUSE ME I MEANT UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE. gotta get this in before prof reminds me everyone can get care) revolves around some utilitarian thought experiment where you have someone's 90 year old grandma who needs a hip replacement and some 25 year old who wants like...rhinoplasty. and for whatever reason, in this stupid thought experiment, we assume that this is the 1800s and the local barber-surgeon, who performs all surgery of all kinds, only has the time or resources, for whatever reason, to work on one of them.
