I fully agree that the genre is waaaay too big for its britches, but there have been some decent flicks over the past little while to come out of it. It'll calm back down soon, like all genre films do. Horror, Westerns, Vampires, all that shit goes through the same explosive growth, then back to core fans.

BvS is probably going to be a stupid cash in...but it won't flop. The hype is huge.
WB is basically trying to skip straight to that Avengers money, rather than building up their characters first before the ensemble movies start.
