Rangers in 1st place already. Its going to be hard for the Rangers to lose the AL west with that lead this late in the season.

The phillies f**k suck but there's a lot of interesting young talent on the team. I like the direction we are going for the long term.

Also we beat the mets in extra innings yesterday which is just wonderful regardless of how bad we do for the year. It's the cool thing about baseball. In football every game is overshadowed by the season implication it has. In baseball you can enjoy a regular season game in isolation just for what it is.

One thing I really like about MLB is how limited the playoffs eligible teams are, even with the wildcard. Becomes very selective unlike some of the other major sports where it feels like half the teams in the league make the playoffs.

I do watch the NBA and, as a fan of this year's 6th seed, I would agree with you. The Mavs won game 2 somehow, but they'll get rolled pretty quickly because the top 4 are far superior to the rest of the division. The East is a bit closer, but the East sucks and will get crushed this year.

Btw, I'm surprised the Stars didn't sweep the Wild. Gutty win the other night but it it will be for naught.

yeah, had we been healthy it would have been better, but i laughed as for the last 5 games all we had to do was win to get into the playoffs and we didn't but since the avalanche did the same shit we got in by default. way to go guys!

i have season tickets too but i'm not going to be delusional about it: they shouldn't be in the playoffs. the stars (curses be upon them) are a much better team, but the wild just don't deserve it. the entire lower bracket for hockey shouldn't exist
