I remember the 50"s /60"s? when the slogan out there was BUY AMERICAN. Some of the fault lies with "we the people". Can't trade what don't sell.
I hear the pollies say things like "there's a whole world out there" we'd be behind the curve if we didn't trade our product to "them". There are over 300 million US citizens. If each one of them gave you (or just me giggle) $1 dollar, you (I) would have over 300 million dollars.
I'm not saying we shouldn't buy other countries products, but there has to be a better playing field. Less buying from others and buy more from home. There are more citizens than there are pollies who make these bad deals.
Then there are the companies that ship jobs over seas in order to pay lower wages. DON'T BUT THEIR PRODUCTS!!! They want it made by paying lower wages, let them earn from those making lower wages.
" It takes a community". If I chose not to buy products that started here and left the US for cheaper wages, it don't do much good if everyone else is still buying those products. If a large majority stop buying, they'll come back! They'll pay a decent wage to our citizens, keep more employment in the US.
50's?-60's? people who bought products not made in the US were look down upon. Ad's were everywhere to BUY AMERICAN!. We as citizens can do more than vote. If we don't like the policies our elected push through, we do the opposite of those policies in large numbers. If many/most don't participate, won't work. AKA the ad's. Spread the word. Heck we have internet now.
Find a company that moved their plant overseas, SPREAD THE WORD and discourage others from buying!!!!!!!!!!
Save our country. Save the world
