I think we'll see a bland, one-term presidency, with only incremental change due to the republican control legislative branch. It will be four contentious years of party politics, probably similar to the last four years, and then we get a reset to see who comes up next. If trump loses, I think that will be the last of him, which is what needs to happen so he won't be around to muddy the waters in 2020.
The other option is unknown, and has very little upside if one rationally looks at it.
The devil you know at this late date. Bland, uninspiring, contentious, but not disastrous vs ?

Sanders would have beat Trump, especially after they debated. Unlike Clinton, Sanders has a decently clean background, and isn't known as a compulsive liar. He is also able to inspire people and spark enthusiasm.
Biden, though... that would have been such an incredible takedown. You remember when he made Paul Ryan look like a fool just by smiling? Yeah. It wouldn't even be close.
