I'd wager that election rigging is actually quite common in the US. The voting machines are completely vulnerable, and in some places, changes cannot even be discovered. This is unlikely to have a huge impact on the outcome of the election, unless a huge percentage of the machines are compromised, but still.

The media is in a really tough place right now. There is so much to hammer Clinton for... and yet there is Trump, saying and suggesting things that are really insane. How do you cover one of the most corrupt candidates in modern history when you have that f**k guy as her opponent? How can you possibly strike a balance? You'd be oscillating between extremes constantly.
