I feel like in the end this is going to backfire and trump could come out winning big. Remember when the Republicans spent every dime of capital they had on impeaching Clinton...only to be completely bitch slapped by the voters for their trouble? They managed to basically trash the whole first family...and lost seats. Clinton's ratings started climbing from there on out.

Don't make this shitheel dirtbag a victim. Don't make him a sympathetic character in this mess. There's no way he'd be removed. He might resign if it makes him feel like a winner in some way. So what's the long term? Just keep the mud flying for four years straight?

I doubt he comes out of this scotch free. And remember - literally the only reason why this is so insane is because of the continuing statements and actions of Trump. There could be no criminality whatsoever and we'd still have to ask why Trump then acted like a dipshit by doing exactly what a guilty party would've done. Or said something that basically confirmed it on television or in a tweet.

And regardless - GOP has been playing the victim for the last two decades or more. Let them repeal healthcare or fail - either way they're losing some seats.

Anybody notice the Virginia race for governor? The GOP primary? "Establishment" candidate beat out Trump supporter by only 4700 votes. If they keep pushing hard right they'll end up dividing themselves in the generals. We'll see what happens with Ossoff.

Trump's too dumb to shut up. I wish a reporter would challenge him a bit and say something like, "Yeah I think this whole thing is a witch hunt too. There's no way you could have pulled off collusion with Russia. You just don't have the power nor the means to do that."
