Walmart self checkout terminals still on WinXP

No article or anything, I was in there tonight at around 4:30am and their self checkout terminals were updating and then rebooting. The familiar Windows XP startup noises made me laugh. I have also decided not to use the self checkout with my debit card at all now, knowing this. Absolutely not secure.

Why would you ever use your debt card and why are you even at a walmart in the first place? It's 2017, we have credit cards and amazon now bro

some people like only buying things when they have the money. I've been using debit card plus qapital app to put money away for various future trips with a rule to round all purchases up to nearest $10 and deposit that in a savings account
I only go to Walmart though if there is no alternative or I need padthai sauce because Target doesn't carry it anymore
