Right now, according to said data, he's sitting below 50. Even Hollande, who wound up being the most unpopular French president in what? living memory? was doing better this early in the game. The necessity of these reforms is hardly something "literally everyone", as you claim, supports. The crashing poll numbers attest to that much at least. The French trump thing is a reference to dodging Le Pen.

Well France isn't a parlimentary system so I'm unsure if you're being sarcastic. It has a president elected with a run off system. The VP is parlimentary though, which I find interesting and have incorporated into my proposed constitutional reforms.
