Should I stop? As I sit here drinking a hastily made lemonade/vodka after consuming two whole IPAs and a jack and root beer float I openly wonder...am I wasting my time here? Perhaps Mueller will vindicate me soon or in the near future, perhaps not. But as I have to come to grips with how bad of a candidate Hillary was and I continue to see subtle support/deference/ambivalence towards Trump by fstar/phos I start to realize we really are this screwed. For they better represent the constituency than we do. They are ignorant where others are learned. They practice towing some faint deference to "proof" where Trump openly spits in the face of those that actually live by the law. They can barely read headlines let alone articles and yet continue to rail against those that seek to highlight Trump's many failures. Like most conservatives they seek to "distance" themselves from Trump while attempting to seem objective while doing so, and for what? Like most of Trump's supporters they aren't running for office - what truly benefits them from giving him the benefit of the doubt? I have so little hope for us now - it wouldn't surprise me to see the GOP maintain the house, Trump to win 2020, and for fstar and phos to be still ambivalent about his intent as he cancels the next election.

Kane, you can post all the info you like, rail all you want...and it won't make a dent. The information stream has forked. Half the country gets very different information. Truly...trump's supporters are simply ignorant of what he's done. Failing that...they quite literally believe its all a vast conspiracy to discredit him and is entirely fabricated. I'm not being facetious. And I don't think I'm overstating it. They are simply disregarding the sorts of thing you read.

It's not that they don't read. They simply seek out and read what they want to hear, and willfully isolate themselves from everything else. The right really does live in a bubble populated by radio nutjobs and preachers and whatever Rupert Murdoch thinks will get him the best ad buys.

That's the real problem. The national sense of "wtf is happening" has been purposefully bisected. It's actually quite the coup. Republicans are now insulated from the consequences of their actions.

We'll see. He's going to support Chemtrails Kelli over Flake and he may yet choose Moore over McConnell's Strange. I get the feeling the GOP establishment has lost control of its weapon. Still, the degree to which you must isolate yourself from information...it's an accomplishment.
