Chelsea Manning was a traitor and deserves to hang. It was the most disgusting pardon in memory for me.

Sheriff Joe seems rather expected and the problem with that pardon is that it seems like if you break the law but Trump thinks your heart was in the right place (looking out for Trump or parroting what Trump wants, eg, the wall) you can get pardoned. So basically it is foreshadowing of Trump's associates getting pardoned as the investigation into Russia heats up

-Pander to mouth breathers
-Send a message to those under investigation for Russia collision, to keep them from flipping. Why flip if you'll get an insta-pardon?

the fact that none of trump's agenda has been accomplished is simply because of republicans standing up to trump. i mean this thread was made in the wake of the election, and we've been talking about this shit forever... but republicans have completely stalled the president's agenda. certainly not all republicans, but enough. i know people love to paint in broad strokes about the two teams but the republicans are fractured over trump and that has been the reason why trump is such a failure in terms of getting anything done. there's been basically no legislation except for that one thing that was made specifically to stop the president from revoking sanctions on russia

i would love to see a simple debt raising bill sent to him, and to have that bill vetoed, and to have that overridden.
