I got communist on the internet declaring civil war when I wasnt giving a shit or showing sympathy for the price gouging..... so i got that going for me.

Looks like this is the largest operation the cajun navy has ever launched... probably going to make the Houston government nervous giving people the idea that they might not be needed because normal everyday people taxed to their birches can do a better job. I definitely see more of them than 1st responders in the video and photos online.

Didn't say 1st responders weren't helping. Just pointing out that volunteers with real world budgets appear to be dwarfing the government response. That remains to be seen, but it's definitely looking like it at the moment.

usually people don't live stream "doing their job" but they will do it for fake internet points and doing something they aren't normally doing. so yeah, you'd see them more on social media... it doesn't mean at all that they are doing it more. christ
