Moreover...I thought that was kinda the point of WMD's...MAD. Of course everybody wants them - it means another larger country will think twice about coming in with conventional weapons to take out a government. We've got a bit of a history there - I don't want to debate the points of every event of interventionism but from a rational standpoint this all makes sense to me.

I like this analysis Saz. I do have a couple of comments though.
1, 3 & 4: Giving weapons to other countries doesn't always fair well for us in the future. Something to always keep in mind.
5: I don't support starving the country. Although the majority of the country is brainwashed beyond belief, starving a population under a dictatorship like NK would decimate the population and hardly influence Kim. At this point it's not a matter of if there is war but when. So it's a numbers game for sure but I can't get behind starving a population.
