Just got off the phone with my partner and he was on the 19th floor of his hotel when it happened. High enough to really feel the building move. He was really impressed with how organized the hotel was with the evacuation and eventual re-habitation of the hotel. Clearly they had planned for this.
He's in the lobby right now waiting to get a new room lower down in the tower in case there are aftershocks.

A large volcano also is in the area. Popocatepetl, popo for short. Hope the quake don't spark that thing up.
