That's totally cool, I don't expect gun owners to agree with these measures. The entire point of this exercise would be to crush your hobby and your feelings about your hobby, for the good of the country. Gun owners must be shamed or ignored, because at the end of the day, no matter how much damage is done, you will insist that you are a "responsible owner," that guns are "just tools," and that there is no relationship between legal gun culture and mass shootings.
Nevermind that the link between access to firearms and violent crime and suicide has been established time and again. Nevermind that mass shootings happen in your country far more than any other Western country, irrespective of how many firearms they have or how prevalent ownership is. Nevermind that the culture difference that makes America so unique is gun culture. What matters is that you guys want to be able to go shoot ducks with your family heirlooms because that is what you've always done and, just like the lunatic prior to this weekend, you have never done anything like this.
The problem with you guys is that you keep on talking about being reasonable, but you aren't f**k reasonable at all. Like it is insane for Galt to be talking about duck hunting here, as if your enjoyment f**k matters compared to the carnage in your streets. It is insulting to anybody with a functioning brain to describe your beliefs, that you have the right to a fire arm, as reasonable.
Oh, and guns aren't banned in Australia. They just have a wide variety of licenses and they don't allow semi-automatics. This is where you guys have to start whining about how inconvenient this will make your hobby and how that should overwhelm the 10,000+ gun murders in the US ever year. And this is also why gun owners must be ignored.
