it doesn't matter what the californians and new yorkers politics are. the point is the president has to be president of the united states, not the coasts. the electoral college isn't the problem, but gerrymandering is so advanced these days it is -- so much so that i think that districting needs to go away and we need to elect our congressmen as party list under the Webster method of voting, similar to the bundestag. gerrymandering is really bad not because of letting republicans win or whatever -- they can't do anything anyway. it's bad because the only challenge comes in the primary, meaning the rhetoric becomes more partisan
