I got caught at a light while Romney's motorcade passed me in dallas a couple of weeks ago. One of the secret service agents was giving me the stink eye as they were passing in front of me and I had an intense urge to pop tha finger at him.

In other news, one of the Saudi Princes bodyguard's weapon was pointed in the general direction of my wife in a similar vehicular situation a couple of years ago. I wanted to go jihad them when I heard that. This was when that famous shot of Dubya holding hands with the prince was shot.

Experienced the motorcade when I was in Hawaii and he was on vacation. Not fun.

Obama's brother in law lives about a quarter mile from my house. Every time the Obamas, or even just the the First Lady, come to town they block off both ends of the street, and we're basically trapped for whatever amount of time. Its kinda cool seeing the motorcade roll through. Not so cool to have half the town shut down for a presidential family get together.

I am a firm believer that if you aren't brave enough to ignore the threats, you shouldn't be President of the United States. These motorcades shouldn't be allowed in the United States. It makes sense to do this in Saudi Arabia, but not Washington, D.C.

How many Presidents have been killed since the Secret Service started going to such lengths to protect the President?

Like it or not, many people would have tried to kill Obama and probably Bush too, had they not had serious levels of personal protection. The threats are serious.
