It will never result in Trump being removed from office. Even more serious allegations like collusion or money laundering won't have that result, because let's face it, Presidents (likely) can't and (certainly) won't be charged criminally. Further, even assuming a really good showing in 2018, Democrats are not going to be able to impeach him.
