i agree with the sentiment that the president ought really just be "mr. president" not treated as royalty. we won a war to put an end that ridiculousness. however, security must be maintained. it doesn't matter what party the man is from... an assassination of a president is a jarring event for a nation and the world and we cannot have it happen again. i mean an archduke getting assassinated set off a world war
